This is my 2nd marriage. This MIL & I really never got along. (My mom died many yrs ago). Recently my MIL physically assaulted me! I tried to practice how my mom raised me & if it was an other person, she would have gotten knocked out! She got really nose to nose with me, I mean any closer, my glasses would have been smudged by her nose. I kept stepping back & telling her to get back & out of my face. She kept stepping up again to me, like 3 times! She’s allegedly a devout Christian & this happened almost a month ago & she is adamant she

From talking to the other daughter in law, I found out she only acts out when “her boys”,

, are not around.
Being a Christian myself I am trying to forgive her but I don’t know how I’ll ever get that incident out of my mind.
She’s a nut! She even denies saying things she said & says totally messed up stuff & say she didn’t say it later.

Sounds like you need a Nanny-Cam. Someone should invent a Crazy MIL cam so we can have proof of their outrageous,unacceptable behavior.
She is definately not a safe person. I would be civil and pleasant, but keep my distance. Been through all the same things, it’s amazing how bold these MILs are when their dear johnny boy is out of earshot, isn’t it? My husband didn’t witness a thing for over 12 years. “my mom would never say that” and “why would she want to hurt you like that?” I certainly didn’t know, but it’s obvious looking back that she didn’t want to share him with anyone, least of all me. To her I was the other woman. Yuck.
Hear ya! MIL here very close to the same…never her fault, no, that is NOT what she said at all, not what she did….finally hubby sees through it now and thankfully, cuz I was gonna leave him over it. Best of luck to you.
