Mother-in-Law HELL

Please help me see the light.
I have a passive-aggressive mil and fil. They recently came to live in the states with very little money and false hopes wanting to change their lifestyle at ages 57 and 63. Having what i think is a clear head on my shoulders made it very clear to my hubby that they would not live in my home.I live is a very small 1 1/2 bedroom apartment. My son’s room fits only a bed, bookcase and toy box. My hubby doesn’t really get along with his mom and both mil and fil are older, set in their ways and I wanted to avoid problems. My mil has always been stuck on herself but gives people a different religious front. I had already gotten the feeling that she was quiet and nice in front of your face but always had hidden intentions. Boy was i right….

Hello All,
I am having problems with the in-laws. I’ve been married for almost 9 years with my husband and we have two children, currently residing in NYC. We live in a small apartment and are trying to save to buy a house, which means we are constantly looking for ways to save and cut costs.
I have met my in-laws on several occasions because they have come to visit us from South America and we visited them for one month about two years ago. Everything was planned for our one month visit and we provided for ourselves. We even made sure to leave money to cover our utility expenses. I made sure of this because I know how difficult it is to have visitors. It’s always an imposition because you are changing your daily routine to accommodate your visitor. ok, so I’ll admit I’m not married nor engaged, and at this point I don’t want to be–why because of what his mother is like.
