My MIL calls her son on his cell phone all the time. She does it to avoid talking to me? I have always been kind to her and remain gracious due to respect to my husband. I do all the shopping and give her gifts. She blatantly thanks him when I give her something and not me? Right in front of me.
When he does not respond to her cell phone messages, she calls our home and attacks me, or leaves a message acknowledging her son only and says she called because he hasn’t called her and she thought something might be wrong. This is always her excuse and story. I have called her back and given her advisement that nothing is wrong and why she would think that..The last call was that he had not called her in 4 months.
Shes overbearing, intrusive and extorts her son when he does not call her. She has two other sons also. All of them live far, far away from her. We live 12 hours away, not far enough huh? Last call was yesterday, left a bizarre message, when I ended the response with we are busy with our lives, just like the next person, she stated sorry for bothering you and I stated you have a blessed day..She hung up on me and slammed the phone? Can anyone suggest what her problem is?
Oh a couple of years ago, sent us separate Valentines day cards…My hubby was livid,stated she had never sent him a Valetines day card in his whole life.
This was a year after his father passed away..She has had issues with all her daughter in laws…My hubby does not confront her. I returned the call due to the contents of her message. I got the phone slammed on me for telling her he was fine and why would she think otherwise?
