My husband and I just got back from our one year anniversary trip to Las Vegas. Yesterday was my first day back to work. I come home and my MIL has sent a padded envelope-looks like something inside that I will have to put away so I told my husband that I would open it the next a.m. (this a.m.)-this morning at 6 am my MIL calls my husband and gets all upset when he tells her that I didn’t open it yesterday. So, I open it and it’s a set of 3 bowl covers. I call her and apologized for not opening it sooner and she said I hurt her feelings etc. because I didn’t open it and it would only take a pair of scissors to open it (apparently my husband said I was too tired to open it or something like that)-so I told her that in the future I would make sure to open things right away as I didn’t know she felt that way and afterwards I sent her an apology e-card. However, this doesn’t sit well with me at all as it’s starting to get to be at home “Well, when YOUR mother sends something it means more than when MY mother sends something” blah blah-anyone else have this issue and I am just venting mainly-as it’s 4 hours passed the event and I’m still thinking about it!

I am not kidding when I say my future MIL just called our house at 6:45 the other morning to tell me about a show to watch. I absolutely get it and think that you have gone beyond the call of duty already. Good luck to you~!
