Mother-in-law Hell

hi. I know how many of you feel. its hard having a difficult mother in law. me and my partner are 25 years of age we have been together 1 year.
his mother is constantly calling him when we are out asking stupid questions like where are you,why are you there,don’t be late etc… and it is driving me nuts. last week my partner had to go take an injection we were on a weekend break we woke up to go to the hospital… his mum called to wake him up (like he is some 7 year old that needs mama to wake him up) then she called to see if he took it an hr later she called to see if he was going home to eat,he told her he ate but she forced him to go home to eat (I made your favorite) bloody hell what can I do??? I cannot take it any more I’m scared that if we move in together (which I’m trying to,but he keeps on dragging it) she will keep on interfering. I can’t stand his family.
