When my 12-year-old dog passed away, my mother-in-law said that she was happy. I asked her how she could be so cruel, and she said,” Now you know how it feels to have something you love taken away from you.” She was implying that she had lost her sone when I married him. How mental is that!!!

Hi Anne,
Thanks for sharing your story and joining the daughter-in-law community. Welcome home:-)
ok thats insane….SHES A CRAZY WOMEN!!!
Make sure if you ever have kids you keep them somewhere safe… in case sh feels the need to have you revisit the pain…
I would sleep with one eye open if I lived anywhere near this woman!!!
Charmer, a real charmer. I’m thinking she is related to mine. You know, people like them have to knock and tear down others to make themselves feel good. So even though its hard. just take from where it comes. Just keep an eye on her
Did you tell your husband? That’s kind of hard to ignore and keep quiet about.
Sorry about your dog. Your MIL is heartless. I would have spit in her face. She better be glad she’s not my MIL. That B*&#$.
I’d swear she was MY future MIL, but my fiance’ is the only boy. I feel your pain!
LMAO….Did she really say that? That lady sounds so crazy. I can relate but my BF’s mother has yet to be so blantant with her feelings. God bless you.
What a witch. I would be sure that she never babysat for me.
That is the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time!
All I can say is to just recognize that she is a bitch who is unhappy with herself.
