Mother in law from hell
by Karen on 09/11 @ 4:23amSo, here is my mother in law story. My husband (who’s the only boy in his family) and I got married and I actually got along with my mother in law at first. Then we became pregnant with my son. While I was preggars we went to visit my MIL. We were sitting at the table and I stretched my leg out under the table and accidentally pushed her dog who was sleeping under the table with my foot. She replied, “Don’t kick my dog bitch!” To my amazement, my husband said and did nothing. A little time went on and my MIL decided to pay me a visit. She came into the house and preceded to tell me how unclean my house was and I should hire a maid. Later I had sent flowers to her for a mother’s day holiday for my husband. She then preceded to tell me they stunk! Yikes I can’t do anything right! Seems like I’m trying really hard, but am getting no where fast. Of course, I love my husband to death and would never let her get in between us. So I live in my own personal mother-in-law hell.

Wow just the fact that your husband said nothing when she called you a bitch is wrong! I think you need to tell your husband that him letting anyone speak to you in that manner is disrespectful to you! Forget about his mom she just sounds extremely ignorant!
This is so bad, who is she to call you a bitch?? Don’t worry I have had worse and know how you feel. My husband use to not stand up for me and now he does not talk to his mum. Mainly her fault!
Oh my gosh!! Same exact thing happened to me…. we got along great before we got married, she insisted we get, even insisted on buying a ring, then said she couldn’t wait for grandkids….Poof! We got married after 5 years of living together, got pregnant and now she’s evil & hateful and at 4 months pregnant she told me(28) to get an abortion in front of my grown husband (32) and then called me an “ungrateful bitch” which of course my husband didn’t even defend his 4month pregnant wife, I was livid with her & with him for not sticking up for me, I am in no way ungrateful for anything never have been. But it proved to me what an ignorant, hateful, nasty, & cold-hearted person she is & how jaded she had my husband. He is on to her now, 2 years later, but I still remind him, when she comes up in topic, how horribly she treated me an dhow he failed to recognize it, how I had to deal with it on my own & how he didn’t support me when she was very much in the wrong.
