so my husband and I have been married for 2 years and my MIL is driving me crazy. a little history…she left my husband when he was 7 for another woman and left my Father in law to take care of two boys until my husband was 14, never saw their mom unless they needed school clothes. k.. she lives about 10 hours away….we have 2 little girls, a 3 year old and a 1 year old. so install in my childrens minds that she is their grandma she comes to town every 6 weeks!!( she tried every 4 weeks but my husband said no.” when she comes to town, she hangs all over my husband(hugging kissing him, telling me that he is a great dad and son)she is too lazy to actually get to know them so she just buys them clothes. (sound familiar??) she causes my husband and I to fight when she is here. she parents my kids and goes behind my back to give them things I have just said no to. she wont allow my husband and I to be affectionate to one another when she is around. in fact we cannot even speak to eachother without her being around. SHE WORE WHITE TO MY WEDDING TOO!!! I am at my end with her and my husband thinks I am just being mean…HELP!!!

Ummm Hubby still has Mommy abandonment issues. Get him Therapy. And if she undermines you with your children, you put your foot down. She is not thier mom you are.
