i married my husband 7 years ago after previously being in a relashionship for 15 yrs my ex mil was lovely but this one god I HATE HER she constantly belittles me making me feel useless and worthless i went back to work part time 3 yrs ago to help out but then my hubby left his job so i had to go full time she had our son for me my hubby cannot be bothered he would rather hang out with his mates she buys my hubby everything he wants hes an only child why should he look for work when she buys all he needs she tells people i go to work cos i did not want another child has i have my 2 children from a previous relashionship what she does not tell them is she charges me 80.00 per wk to have her own grandson she has a go at me if i buy myself anything saying you cannot afford that even a chocolate bar she tells me what to do all the time when i answered back one day that i have already had 2 children her reply was well look how they turned out my 2 older children are doing well at colledge and university and are no trouble at all she constantly piks on me to the point that i am on antidepressants she says cos i cannot cope with my son shes the bloody caurse my hubby wont say anything cos she will stop buying him things and she knows i will lose my house if she does not have my son i even resent my hubby now im living in this hell with no way out she got cancer last yr and i wished her dead which is so bad i know but i dont know how much more i can take

Hang in there laura, I know it can be tough but you are going to have to put your foot down withe your husband and tell him that his mother is causing you to feel really depressed. I wish you the best of luck but my biggest advice is to pray about your situation. I am willing to give you my pastors number to speak with her about it as I am in a no peace situation with my husband and without the guidance and advice from my pastor, I am not sure I would not be in a nutt house. God Bless you and keep your head up.

I would insist that my Hubby at least worked enough to pay his Mom for babysitting. STOP putting up with the abuse. The only person that is gonna change things is YOU. I feel when one respects one’s self, then others follow. Good Luck Sweetie!!!!!
