Hello Ladies,
About nine years ago, I launched a little website called themotherinlaw.com. What started out as way for me to reach out to other women who were dealing with mother-in-law issues quickly grew into a daughter-in-law sanctuary of sorts. The website found a way into the homes of women all across the globe. Some women just needed a place to vent while others were experiencing much more severe issues and needed help and support. Women from India were dealing with dowry abuse, a Chinese woman was forced to be a servant to her mother-in-law, and the stories just kept rolling in. Our community even helped repair a few mother-in-law/daughter-in-law relationships. I was happy to be able to provide a safe place for daughters-in-law to express their feelings.
At a certain point, I decided to take the website down and let others continue the project I started. Many books and websites popped up after mine, and a movie you might have heard called Monster-in-law came to the big screen. LOL. Although we weren’t part of the movie, I think we can say the might have influenced it a bit:-) LOL.
I am excited to announce that although themotherinlaw.com domain name was taken over by someone else several years ago, I am bringing back the daughter-in-law web community. For those who partook in the original community, welcome back. For those who are new, welcome home!!!

I just fell over in shock when I found this website. I was one of your first members back in 1999 on themotherinlaw.com. I am so happy to see that you put your site back online. So much has changed with social networks and such. However, for those who knew the old site will remember what a tight daughter-in-law community we had. Your site kept me sane.
Hope all is well and thank you for bringing this community back.

Hey Stacey! I do remember you:-)) I hope things have gotten better with your mother-in-law. I’m not so sure since found the new site so quickly. LOL!! Anyway, I think we can grow this site as a group and be a support system to daughters-in-law around the world.
Talk to you soon,
Patricia

I am very happy that I found a website with other people that feel like me. I was actually feeling guilty because I believed that I was the only one that disliked my MIL. Thanks for letting me vent my feelings.

I was searching the web for info on dealing with negative people (you guessed who) when I came across this one. It’s a godsend! I’m adding it to my favorites right now!
