I find this website so liberating! =) Finally a place where I can share just how wacked out my MIL is. Ok, here is another story about my MIL. First off she is a very orderly, cold type person. She rarely hugs her kids and just has this very stern coldness about her. She acts like she is high class but really she is very insecure. She is a straight up snob. She is also very impressed with people that have money. You could be the biggest ***hole alive but if you got a really nice house, car and clothes, your a winner in her eyes.
When my husband was a teenager his parents got divorced. I don’t blame my MIL cuss my FIL is a jerk and was a cheater. After the divorce she went shopping for a new husband. She was a single mother of 4 kids and was not about to get a job. My husband said she would doll herself up and go to country clubs and other places where men had money. 6 months after the divorce she married a man she barely knew. My husband met the guy once before the wedding. She told my SIL that sometimes a woman has to do what she has to do. She even told my SIL she would only have sex with him on his birthday and anniversary. ICK! A marriage made in heaven. So anyway, 35 yrs later she is still married to the man. He is a decent guy but everyone knows that my MIL didn’t marry him for love. Even my step FIL knows this. He is now much older and his health is not that great but he is still alive and kicking. My MIL Joined a widows club two yrs ago. They go out on girl luncheons, small trips and other things. Very sweet. But there is one problem. My MIL is not a widow! LMAO. My step FIL told my MIL that this club upsets him. She just does her usual snobby smirk and says that the girls really like her and made her an honorary member until the day she is a full fledge widow. When we get together she will talk about the “girls” and how they went to lunch etc. The whole time my Step FIL is cringing. Wow, nothing like wanting someone to die huh?
