My boyfriend and I have been together almost two years, and have talked about marriage a lot lately, which excites me until his mother gets involved. She is a very sweet lady, BUT sometimes I feel like I’m the other woman, and my boyfriend and her are married. She calls him 5-12 times a day, just to say hi, or see whats going on. I can understand once or twice, but it gets to the point where there is no point for the phone calls, but she just needs to call!

But he also has no backbone and lets his mother get the best of him. I recently found out about something deeply disturbing. The rent check went through the day before payday, so my husband’s bank account was a few hundred dollars in the red. Nothing dramatic, the money would be there the day after and he’d pay a few dollars in late fees. Lesson learned. But as soon as he found out, his cellphone rang. My husband of less than six months and I are in serious marital trouble because of his Mama’s Boy ways.

Don’t get me wrong, his dad and stepmother are jerks too – especially daddy. They love to critique my cooking and give me unwanted diet and weight loss advice. But it’s mommy dearest who truly holds DH’s heart.
