Almost everything my MIL does annoys me. Some of the things she does don’t look that bad to others, but knowing her true character, I find almost everything she does/says offensive. I believe she intends to come off this way to me. She’s a true weirdo with too much time on her hands to meddle in our lives and it’s making me sick.

For a while we lived with them, while closing on our home and she did all kinds of annoying crap. She would make lunches for my daughter and set them in the fridge, like I wasn’t capable of it. She would eavesdrop on our conversations, meddle in our business, hit up my husband for random amounts of cash-behind my back-even though we paid them a monthly amount of money to live there. She never asked me if it was ok to borrow money from US. Seemed really disrespectful.

She…

My In-law’s celebrated their 50th anniversary a few weeks ago. Family came from all around to attend. It seemed like it might be fun but as usual it was a nightmare for me and my kid’s. Three times during the 3 days of celebration my husband and I walked in on dinner party’s at my in-law’s that we were not invited to.The sad part is that we live across the street from them. Funny how your SIL’s and MIL can have a dinner party with your aunt’s & cousins and not invite their son (My Husband) just rude. Recently I was gone helping my Mom while she was recovering from a broken leg. I was gone 45 days. During that 45 day’s the in-laws invited my husband to lunch and dinner 6 times hummmmmm. Maybe it is because I wasn’t home and that makes it easier for them. As for…

I’m a responsible, mature 27 years old and is a mother of a wonderful 16months old boy. I’ve been married to my husband for 2 yrs now. There is a 13yrs difference in our age and we love each other to death. I left everything on the other side of the country for him,   like a teenager, in fact she asked me to let her be a teen. Then, when I talk to her like I would to teen then she says I’m disrespectful towards elders and goes cry to my husband. She has 2 daughters and none of them can stand her. She only clings to my husband because he’s the only one taking her crap (he pities her).

The problem that I have is I don’t know how to deal with her. I don’t know how to treat her. I’m used to know MIL that are mean, directly hates…

I just thought I would share a short story about my own mother-in-law. According to some of the “horror stories” out there, I feel pretty darned lucky! She constantly tells me “she loves me”, tells my husband “how lucky he is to have found me” and “that he takes advantage of me”. We recently found out that she’s dying of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Now, this is less than 2 months after my stepfather-in-law passed away.

I am a mother of 2 boys. Both of them are teens. I have a 19 yr old & a 17 yr old. And I tried to commit suicide recently. Partly because of them. I know it’s no excuse but have you ever just loved someone so much that when you see them making mistakes….. UHHHH! Kills me inside.

When my mother-in-law came to visit me in the hospital and actually TALKED to me! It made all…

When I first met my husband his mother and father treated me well. They were happy that their son had found a “good” girl.. but when we decided to move in together my MIL freaked out. She made a huge deal out of how big our bed should be.. I didn’t think it was important so I just let them buy whatever they tought was OK. A free bed isn’t bad right? But now. That was where it began. She soon began to but in on other areas of our lives. And there were a lot of comments.. but when we decided to get married she REALLY began to show her true self. When we told her about the engagement she sat me down and told me how horrible it was to be married and that she hoped we didn’t plan to get married too soon. And then she started…

One time I was happily finishing up washing the dishes and the MIL suddenly barges into my kitchen. We talk nice for a few minutes and she offers to wash the dishes. I say thanks, but I only have this one frying pan to do. I leave the kitchen for a few minutes to scape out the frying pan grease (a nice act for her dog).
When I come back to the kitchen, she is acting strange. She is wiggling around like a 5 year old and looking around up at the ceiling, basically doing her “Daddy’s precious little princess has a special secret” act.
The MIL then suddenly freezes in place, stares at me with a blank expression, and leaves immediately out the door without a word.
I know something is wrong, but what could it be??? Then my eyes are drawn to the dishwater… I get a big spoon and poke…
