My mother-in-law had a piano that she no longer wanted. We offered to buy it from her, but she didn’t want us to have it. Instead, she sold it to a music store for $700.00. I was so angry that she wouldn’t let us have it that I went to the music store she sold it to and bought it for $1400.00. We paid double what we could have bought it from her for. She was so angry and hurt that she actually cried when she found we were willing to pay an additional $700.00 than what we gave her. She made it seem like we gave her the bad deal.
