My future mother-in-law called my mother and insisted that I should not wear a white wedding gown because I was impure. For good reason, my mother got defensive and told her that her son was the only one who made me impure and it was none of her business. My mother-in-law retorted by saying, “Now I see where your daughter gets her bitchy attitude from.”
PS. They have not said a word to eachother since that telephone call, and I doubt they ever will. The way I see it, my mom is getting the better deal on this one:-0

I have to say I think you are right…your mom is getting the good end of the deal LOL
If it makes you feel better, mine doesn’t want me to wear white and we ARE waiting tilt he wedding.
Dear lady, it’s YOUR wedding; wear whatever the heck you want!
And enjoy your day.
MIL’s like this make my skin crawl. You and future DH better make a pact to stand together against her or your life will be hell. Before the wedding! Ask her if it’s in her moral code not to judge. GEEZZZZZ
Wow…Bravo to your mommy for telling that See You Next Tuesday what’s what. If her son had been able to keep it in his pants, then maybe you would hvae “remainded Pure.” And how soon was her first child born after the marriage?
Ex MIL was not bad…ex FIL was a disaster! But let’s just say, My ex a-hole was well hidden at thier wedding.
Sweetie as dear Abby once said ” A white wedding dress signifies that it is the bride’s first marriage. Because you have not been married before, you may wear a white bridal gown regardless of the fact that you are not a virgin.” I would find this article and show it to your judgmental MIL. Then tell her people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
