She sends him gushy text messages every day basically always saying that she loves him so much and he’s her life and that she misses him and that she is so blessed that he loves her and blah blah blah. I am so nice to his mother but she never invites me over or for dinner. My finance will say WE in texts or conversation but she will respond with YOU. I hate feeling like I don’t exist!!!

Honey, she is trying to deny, deny, deny. Let your intended know you don’t wish to be rude, but, if MOMMY will not acknowledge you then you will have to cut her off. You are a big part of his life now and his mom needs to get a grip, and not a death grip on her son.
Face it, you don’t exist in her life. No woman of his will. She wants a Mommy’s Boy. It is your job to find out if he is a Monna’s Boy. If so, run for the hills.If he can stand up for you, then that is what he must do. If she won’t acknowledge that you exist, then neither of you need to be visiting her. To the stupid text messages, Sonny Boy should answer all of them the same way. “Please, Mother, you are being over dramatic again.” And leave it at that. She will soon tire of her ineffective messages.

Hi, even my MIL also behaves in same way to some extent. She feels bad to see me and my husband happy together. I think best way to deal with this situation is to avoid her as much as you can and never let her come between you and your husband.
