A couple of months ago my mother in law and father in law separated and she had no where to live- my mom took her in and shortly after helping her she started calling my moms boyfriend. My mom heard of it and broke off her engagement, now my mother in law is driving 7 1/2 hours to go see him. She is lying to my husband and me about what she is doing and where she is leaving my brother in law (6yrs old) and sister in law (17yrs old) thinking I don’t know. My sister in law now has no rules in the home as long as she doesn’t tell my hubby about what she is doing. I’m so mad that she could do this to my mom after she tried to help her she even had the nerve to say she was the one to help my mom!

I’d be telling your FATHER IN LAW, about his younger son being left willy-nilly and his daughter running unsupervised. It is his responsibility to handle that.
As to your mother’s boyfriend dump….sounds like she missed getting more involved with a shady guy there. Your tacky MIL just may have saved your mom from some heartache down the road. Let your MIL suffer the joy of it.

Your mother should be thankful this trashy skank “stole” her boyfriend. He sounds like a real piece of crap. Mom should be laughing her butt off that the old hag has to drive so far to see loser boy.
I do feel sorry for her children. She is putting her own skankdom above their dicipline needs. Contact their dad immediately and let him know about the situation so he can step in and handle it; which is HIS RESPONSIBILITY. Hopefully he is not a loser too, but I would not hold my breath.
Frankly, in a case like this, I’d never speak to the trollop again. And, hopefully, your mother has learned something about the type of men she selects to be with. Sounds like she needs some time to just be single.

Call the Department of Children and Families after you talk to the Father. Make a formal complaint.
