Monster step father-in-law molested me 2 times, & I told my husband’s family and I found out it happend to 2 other daughters in law- i wish she would die. i can’t help the way I feel. I have no parents or grandparents. I have no one to talk to about this . help

When holding my infant my MIL has several times taken her out of my arms with out asking. On one occasion while I was contently feeding my daughter she started pulling my baby away from me as she said ” I’ll take her. Do you mind?” I shyly said yes, but that didn’t stop her, Im not sure if she even heard me. On another occation as we were having a family dinner baby began crying I went over to pic her up and as I was stooping over my Mil scooped her up and said I’ll hold her. She bagan holding her at the dinner table in a very uncomforable manner until I quicky finished and reclaimed her. And again during family photo time all the men in the family took a pic and then all the women with my daughter being the new addition, as I was sitting next…

We’ve been married for 35 years and I have enjoyed a great relationship with my Husband’s Aunts, Uncles and cousins. But my sister in law was hell from the very beginning; she was a spoiled 22 year old baby still living at home when my husband first introduced me to his family ( I was 23 and my husband was 27).At this first visit I was not allowed to sit by him because sil made sure that she was either in his lap or so close to him that no one else could be, she made bad jokes about their relationship being more important that ours ( I didn’t know that we were in a contest) He went outside to play basketball & placed his billfold on the kitchen table. Upon spotting me, he asked that I put his billfold in the glove box of the car, when I went…

Advice, Mother-in-law problems1 Comment

This is my first post, probably not my last.
I have a lovely DH and thought I got along really well with his parents and their partners until I had our DS about 11 months ago (our first child).

My SMIL has not held back on telling me that everything I am doing is wrong and how I should be doing it, she’s even had me in tears from her comments, so much so that I don’t go round my FIL house anymore they come visit us for an hour or so every so often.

They popped over on Sat, our DS has just started walking and we think he’s rather good at it considering he only started on the Friday and he can walk right across our living room with no help. So my SMIL started saying that she knew he’d be doing that by now but thought he’d be better at…

My husband and i have been married 5 years together 7- we met when our 4 children (2 each) we were young and decided that for us to work we needed ALL the children to be treated the same by the extended family and us- this included outings, gifts, time spent etc. The kids like it this way adn it means noone feels lessimportant especially that most of my extended family live further away than his (who all live very close) and we spend more time with his because of this.
My MIL has trested me poorly since the beginning but try as i might i have not been able to please her- i’ve organised aged care for her paretn, funerals and weddings, babysat, cared for her other son when he was depressed (she said he was too hard, we had lived together at that point for less then a month),…

My fiance and I are planning a wedding, we met in March on eHarmony and in person in July. We know we are right for eachother. He is 30 and never been married and the oldest in the family. I wondered why he has never been married, until I met his mother. His mother right away attacked me that I am “not a Christian” when I am Methodist and openly talked about God with her. When she couldn’t find any faults there she moved on to “we are rushing into things and don’t know eachother well enough”. Now, after almost 6 months of flying back and forth to see eachother and making all these plans together, his parents wanted to know more about our finances. We casually explained that I have some student loans after my Master’s degree in nursing, but I have a very good job and will also…

My MIL is turning into the nastiest, horriblest creature I have ever had the misfortune to come across. This woman has caused so much trouble over the last few days that she should be hung drawn and quartered and I would personally oversee the proceedings.

Besides the fact that she always pulls her face at every single thing I do and the fact that she treats me child with contempt is enough, but now she has overstepped the mark so much that I doiubt she can even see it any more.

I’ll try and be brief but its not always possible. 3 days ago, some random woman has come out of the woodwork saying her son is my husbands and he wants to meet and him and find out who he is. Understandably, hubby was shocked by this and it would take anyone by suprise to find out you had a child…
